The New Ruralism got a poster child as this small agricultural community outside of Montgomery, Alabama, turned to PlaceMakers—and the SmartCode—to get ahold of impending growth... before it got ahold of them. Through the course of this planning and coding engagement, the team established ways to preserve the town's existing rural character, accommodating growth through a network of hamlets, villages and town centers.
