The Waters

Summer Wrap-Up 2005

Friends and Neighbors:
Hello, and welcome to the latest edition of The Waters' newsletter, our periodic update of all our latest news. Please read throughout to ensure you don't miss out on any important dates or announcements.

Lake Cameron is Full
Thanks to a steady stream of summer rains, The Waters' signature lake, Lake Cameron, has filled to capacity. The current level will now remain relatively consistent as excess water, such as the rain associated with Hurricane Katrina, overflows the spillway. Boats are now readily available, and all residents are invited to come enjoy the peaceful recreation of Montgomery's largest lake.

Big Festivities Planned for Parade of Homes
On Saturday, October 15, The Waters will be combining our yearly Founders' Day Celebration with a variety of special events, as part of our participation in this year's Montgomery Parade of Homes. Food, live music and a fireworks display bigger than our July 4th show will make it a memorable event for all. Everyone is invited!

Birth of a Nation, Birth of a Town
4th of July festivities at The Waters proved to be both symbolic and hugely successful this summer as new residents came together with an extended array of friends and family to swim, get out on the lake, eat, dance and relax. Lasting all afternoon and into the evening, hundreds of people gathered lakeside on Lucas Point to view our inaugural fireworks display.

House Models Arrive
The Waters' Sales Center has recently assembled a series of scale models illustrating our unique approach to home design, incorporating principal buildings, back buildings and outbuildings to create a near-infinite array of configurations and layouts. Drop by and discover just how easy it is to create a home perfectly suited to your needs - both today and in the future.

Realtors Turn Out for Special Presentation
On August 16, over one hundred of Montgomery's most respected and accomplished realtors gathered by the Pavilion for a special presentation by The Waters sales team. For many, the event was their first exposure to our community. In addition to a lively prize drawing, participants were provided everything they need to present their clients what our residents already know - The Waters is Montgomery's next great place to call home.

Rusty Comes to Town
Rusty Daniel, The Waters' Director of Development, has now completed his family's move from Atlanta to Montgomery and is expected in his lakeside Waters home by the end of the year. Notably, Rusty is only one of many development team members who will be settling here in the near future. Immediately on the horizon are sales team members Andrew Gerachis and Mike Fureigh, both of whose homes are currently nearing completion.

Sales Brisk for Town Architect's Newest Book
"Traditional Construction Patterns: Design and Detail Rules-of-Thumb," the latest book from The Waters' Town Architect, Steve Mouzon, continues to be one of architecture's best-selling books. Said Andres Duany, the world-renowned architect and town planner who is contributing some of his own home designs to The Waters, "Steve Mouzon ... has produced a manual that is clear, easy to use, and targeted to the most common errors ... Traditional architects can now sweep their own house clean."
